GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Meet Rose, Patch's Dog of the Week. Nominate your dog for Gloucester Township Patch's Dog of the Week! Here she is visiting one of her two sisters she hasn't seen since she was adopted by the Hughes Family.

"Rose is my spoiled, more than loved, 4 1/2 year old foster fail," Alicia Hughes said in her submission. "After saving dogs with a rescue for 10+ years, I knew that I had to make Rose a part of my family. She is such a lover and has made me laugh from day one. At night, she curls up under my blanket on the bed and lays her head on my pillow like she’s a human. Cars aren’t her best friend, but she sure is mine. I often think of the saying, 'who rescued who?' because although I saved her from a potentially tragic start to life, she has been like my therapy dog getting me through some of the hardest times in my life. When she gets excited her tail doesn’t just wag back and forth, but it turns into a full-blown windmill and you can barely see it going in circles. And she SMILES! I have never seen a dog smile, but my girl does. She loves to run around the yard and play with our other dogs even though she can be a little lazy sometimes. Everywhere she goes, people love her and she sure loves the attention. I couldn’t have asked for a better friend than Rose."
