GLOUCESTER, NJ — Hot temperatures will continue into Tuesday prompting the National Weather Service to issue a heat advisory for Gloucester.

Heat index values will remain high into Tuesday and will hover around 104. The heat advisory was issued Monday and remains in effect through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The hot temperatures will be coupled with high humidity increasing the threat of heat-related health issues.

Tuesday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 3 a.m. Partly cloudy, with a low around 76. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming light west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
