Stabbing Victim Goes To Vineland Pizza Shop For Help

VINELAND, NJ — A man who was stabbed in Vineland on Wednesday received help from a nearby restaurant after the crime, according to police.

The victim was stabbed several times at the Vineland Transportation Center by James Smith of Millville, police said.

After the attack, the victim somehow made it across the street to Soprano's Pizzeria, where someone at that restaurant called for help, according to police.

Smith was arrested roughly four blocks from where the stabbing took place, according to police.

He was charged with attempted homicide and other weapons offenses and was in the Cumberland County Prison as of Thursday morning, according to police.

The victim, who police said they could not confirm the identity of as of Thursday morning, was reported to be in stable condition as of Thursday morning.
