Student Driver Hits Erial Man Doing Yard Work
A driving lesson in Erial took a wrong turn Sunday and sent a man to the hospital.

A 19-year-old learning how to drive lost control of her car Sunday and struck a man doing yard work at his Fairmount Avenue home in Erial, Gloucester Township Police said.
The driver, Janiya Crippen of Lindenwold, was practicing driving in the parking lot of the , home to Erial Little League, when she lost control of the car just after noon. The car crossed the roadway and jumped a curb before striking 58-year-old Richard Stang, who was doing landscaping in his front yard, police said.

Stang was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was treated and released.
Gloucester Township Police's Traffic Safety Bureau is investigating the crash. No charges were filed as of Sunday evening.
