Township Pool to Open Saturday

The township pool will open for the season this Saturday.

"It's great for families and we have lots of fun events for members," said Diane Jones, co-director of the Gloucester Township Recreation Department.

Among the special events scheduled for this year's pool season are Christmas in July, Easter in August, Splashtacular and Phillies 50¢ hot dog days.

If you haven't already signed up for the 2011 pool season, the forecast high temperatures in the upper 90s the middle of this week should be all the reminder you need.

Rates did go up across the board this year, so be sure to check the new fee schedule here.

To register for the pool, visit the Broadacres Drive recreation center Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.
