Triton Percussion Ensemble Brings Home 12th Mid-Atlantic Title

A week after winning its seventh straight South Jersey championship, the Triton percussion ensemble won its 12th overall National Judges Association-Tournament Indoor Association Mid-Atlantic title.

The competition, which drew more than 200 scholastic and independent music groups, was held at the Wildwood Convention Center May 3-6.

With its latest gold medal, 's percussion ensemble now holds the record for the most championships in the 40-year history of the competition—a record of consistency that establishes it as one of the Mid-Atlantic region's premier programs.

Triton's indoor color guard finished ninth in its division of the competition, following up on its third-place finish at the South Jersey championships at Deptford High School in late April.

Triton's percussion ensemble adviser is Gary Lowden, the color guard adviser is Angelina Coppola and the director of instrumental music is Robert Adams.
