GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Trunk-or-treat is returning to Gloucester Township, and vehicle registration has opened.

In recent years, trunk-or-treat has emerged as a Halloween tradition in which kids collect candy from the trunks of decorated vehicles in a parking lot. It's typically viewed as a safer alternative to trick-or-treating around the neighborhood.

Gloucester Township's Trunk-or-Treat runs from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 25 at Veterans Park (1261 Chews Landing Rd.). The event will also feature a "best trunk" contest, hayrides and more.
