Whiz Kids: This Week's Is at the Top of His Class

• Whiz Kid's Name - Chris Calabrese

• Whiz Kid's Age - 18

• Whiz Kid's School - Timber Creek Regional High School

• Whiz Kid's Accomplishment - Chris recently learned he will be one of Timber Creek's Class of 2011 salutatorians. He and the school's other highest ranked students will be recognized at the Black Horse Pike Regional School District's May 12 board meeting. Chris will attend the University of Pennsylvania beginning in the fall, and will be a student in the prestigious Wharton School of Business.

• Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness - You don't get into Penn, especially its Wharton School, without being highly intelligent. You also don't get in without putting in plenty hard work and without participating in many, many extracurricular activities. Chris did both. In addition to all of the homework and studying he did to get top-notch grades, Chris found time to serve as president of the Timber Creek National Honor Society, play on the school's golf team and volunteer his time at the Camden County Animal Shelter, among other activities.
