Winslow Man Charged After Shots Fired Outside Home: Police

A 25-year-old man from South Jersey was charged with assault and weapons charges after police responded to the report of shots fired.

WINSLOW, NJ - A 25-year-old man from South Jersey was charged with assault and weapons charges after police responded to a report of shots fired in Winslow Township.

At around 10:15 a.m. on Thursday, the Winslow Township Police Department’s Patrol Division and Criminal Investigations Unit were dispatched to Dunham Loop in the Berlin section of Winslow Township for reports of an altercation with shots fired, police said.

An initial investigation found a shell casing on the sidewalk of the 40th block of Dunham Loop, where the alleged shooter retreated inside a nearby home, police said.

A search warrant was later executed inside the home, and a 9mm Glock handgun was recovered, police said.

The alleged shooter, identified as 25-year-old Curtis Moseley of Winslow Township, was arrested later that day and charged with 2nd degree Aggravated Assault, 2nd degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, 2nd degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and 4th degree Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine.

“A tremendous team effort by all agencies kept our community safe,” Winslow Township Police Chief Donald Lemons said. “We will continue the work to keep our community safe by taking illegal guns off the street.”

Moseley was remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.
