Winter Storm In Gloucester Twp.: Latest Forecast For Snow, Rain

Although the blanket of snow may skip Gloucester Township, weather officials anticipate a wet weekend with some snowfall.

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Accumulating snow from this weekend's predicted storm may evade Gloucester Township, but forecasters expect a rainy weekend with some snow mixed in.

The coastal system will bring widespread precipitation to the region Saturday afternoon, which could linger into Sunday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). While much of the state could receive significant snowfall, the agency predicts mostly rain near and southeast of Interstate 95.

Despite anticipated snowfall in Gloucester Township, little or no snow accumulation is expected, the NWS said.

Inland gusts could reach 30 mph, but forecasters don't expect any significant wind impacts in the area.

The snowfall forecast is subject to change, and the NWS encourages people to continue checking for updated predictions.

South Jersey is coming off a winter of minimal snow sticking to the ground, with much of the region measuring less than an inch for the entire season, according to the state climatologist's office.
