HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A bomb threat that lead to the evacuation of the Hackettstown Walmart on Saturday was not credible, Mansfield police said.

The Walmart was evacuated around noon on Saturday, after a man told other shoppers that he had a bomb strapped on his body that he "wired himself," and, "you can watch me in the news," police said.

Walmart employees and police evacuated the store, and Mansfield and Hackettstown Police's K9 unit searched the store. New Jersey State Police also conducted a search of the store with two bomb dogs; none of the three agencies found anything. The store reopened around 3:30 p.m.
