Cannabis Retail Businesses May Be Allowed In Hackettstown
The Hackettstown Town Council introduced the ordinance for some types of retail cannabis businesses, which is up for adoption in August.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — The Hackettstown Town Council was one of the municipalities in New Jersey that recently approved some types of cannabis manufacturing and cultivating businesses to operate within its light manufacturing district.
At its most recent meeting, the council introduced its ordinance which, if approved would allow cannabis retailers in town in the Highway Commercial or Community Commercial zones.
The ordinance, which won’t be up for public hearing and adoption until its Thursday, Aug. 12 meeting - like its marijuana manufacturing counterpart - has particular conditions that must be met before a business can operate in Hackettstown’s borders.
