Ecstasy Found With Man Near Hackettstown Middle School, Cops Say
18-year-old charged with trying to sell drugs in a school zone.

An 18-year-old Independence Township man was charged with trying to sell drugs near a school and possession of a weapon after police said he had 14 grams of ecstasy and a switchblade knife on him near Hackettstown Middle School on Wednesday.
Andre Colon was sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail on the charges, according to Hackettstown Police Sgt. Darren Tynan.
Colon was the passenger in a car that was stopped near the school on Washington Street around midnight. Police found Colon to be in possession of the drugs and a switchblade knife with metal grips, Tynan said.
Colon was additionally charged with possession of ecstasy and possession of ecstasy with intent to distribute.
