Funds Sought For Hackettstown Cop's Family After Fire Destroys Home

Laoudis family of four displaced after Sunday blaze.

Jimmy Laoudis spends his work time protection others from harm. On Sunday night, it was the Laoudis family that found itself in harm’s way.

Laoudis, a police officer in Hackettstown, and his wife and two children live in Newton. On Sunday night their home was ruined by a fire.

Fortunately, the family of four, including children ages two and four, were able to escape unharmed along with their two dogs. Unfortunately, their two cats were killed as a result of the fire and all their belongings were unable to be salvaged.

Now the community is looking to help.

A YouCaring.com page has been established to help the family with a goal of $7,000. In the time since it went online, the page has raised $4,340 thanks to 69 individual donors.
