Gun-Wielding Man Threatened to 'Put a Bullet' in Another's Head, Cops Say

Hackettstown man sent to jail in lieu of $75K bail.

Emotions ran high during a verbal fight on Fourth Avenue Friday night as a Hackettstown man threatened a younger Stewartsville man with a gun and said he would "put a bullet in his head," according to Hackettstown police.

John Tucker, 46, allegedly grabbed the 21-year-old Stewartsville man's face and pointed an airsoft pistol at him, Sgt. Darren Tynan said. The Stewartsville man was not named by police.

Police responded to a 911 call for the incident on the 200 block of the street.

Tucker was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, making terroristic threats, unlawful possession of a handgun, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

He was sent to the Warren County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail with no 10 percent option.
