Three new members joined two returning members to the Hackettstown BID Board in a recent election.

The Hackettstown Business Improvement District (BID) recently held its board elections, which saw the return of some board members and the addition of several new ones.

Peter Trusio from Jameison Insurance, 699 Washington Street and Claudia Conway, Fulton Bank NJ, 176 Mountain Avenue were reelected to their board seats. Three new members joined the board: AJ DiGiovanni from Homebrew University, 160 Main Street;  Jerry Merola from Michael’s Salon, 220 Main Street; and Scott Peluso from Plate Jewelers, 179 Main Street.

“Elections are a very exciting time of year, we have a chance to elect some new members keeping fresh ideas flowing," said Hackettstown BID Executive Director Jim Sheldon in a release.

"By also keeping some returning board members [on the body, it creates]...some well-needed continuity from year to year," Sheldon added. "This year’s election is special, one of the new board members is also a new business. New members active in the BID’s committees help to improve the economic and visual climate creating a win–win environment for Hackettstown."

The nominations and elections were recently held in accordance with the Hackettstown Business Improvement District by-laws.  The results were tallied and certified by Courter, Kobert & Cohen and are available at the BID office at 219 Main Street in Hackettstown.
