Hackettstown St. Patrick's Parade Sunday: Where Not To Park

Hackettstown Police will close streets and provided a list of no-parking and tow-away zones where you should not park on Sunday.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Whether you're Irish or not, make sure you don't park in designated no-parking zones during Sunday's St. Patrick's Parade in Hackettstown.

Hackettstown Police issued a preemptive traffic alert for Sunday's St. Patrick's Parade, reminding residents of street closures related to the event and that municipal garages are available for parking.

On March 13 Route 46 (Main Street) will close between Liberty and Warren streets, Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) between Main Street and Victoria Lane, and Route 517 (High Street) between Main and Franklin streets. The closures will begin at approximately 3 p.m., according to Hackettstown Police Department Sgt. Darren Tynan.

Several side streets leading to the parade route will be closed starting at around 2 p.m. Police officers will be on the scene directing traffic around the road closure.

A police notice also warned there will be no-parking and tow-away zones on the following streets starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday:

  • Route 46 (Main Street) between Grand Avenue and Warren Street
  • Washington Street between Church and Valentine streets.
  • Franklin Street between Liberty Street and Route 517 (High Street).
  • Liberty Street between Route 46 and Franklin Street.
  • Valentine Street between Route 46 (Main Street) and Beatty Street.
  • Washington Street between Warren Street and Bells Lane.
  • Victoria Lane between Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) and Mitchell Road.
  • Bells Lane between Route 182 (Mountain Avenue) and Washington Street.

Any vehicles parked in any of those areas will be ticketed and towed.

Parking is available in any of the municipal parking lots and on many side streets.
