Man Arrested, Charged After $8 Theft: Hackettstown Police
Denzel Hoff was rifling through unlocked vehicles on James Drive, police said.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A 20-year-old Independence Township man was arrested and charged with theft after police caught him rifling through unlocked cars on Janes Drive on Sept. 28, according to the Hackettstown Police Department.
Officers responded to Janes Drive for a report of person going into unlocked vehicles. Officers arrived on scene and saw Denzel Hoff going through unlocked vehicles and stole $8.19, police said.
Hoff was charged with criminal trespass and theft and was released pending a court appearance, police said.

"We are reminding people to keep their vehicles locked," police said in a statement.
