NJ Teen Hospitalized After Carnival Ride Injury, Police Say
A teenager was hospitalized after riding an amusement attraction at a Friday night, prompting the closure of the ride, police said.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ - A teenager was hospitalized after riding an amusement attraction at a New Jersey carnival Friday night, prompting the closure of the ride, authorities said.
At around 8:43 p.m., a 17-year-old girl notified the Hackettstown First Aid and Rescue Squad that she was injured while riding the Starship Gravitron ride at the local Spring Festival, Hackettstown police said in a statement.
The teen suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center, police said. The nature of her injuries were not immediately clear.

“The carnival company shut down the Starship Gravitron and followed their protocols,” police said.
