Route 46 Parking Ban Takes Effect Due to 'Excessive' Snow
Parking prohibited starting Friday on the westbound side from Valentine to Warren streets.
Parking will be prohibited starting Friday on the westbound side of Route 46 from Valentine Street to Warren Street due to "the excessive amount of snow," Hackettstown Police said.
One-side of the street parking also remains in effect for all other township roads, police said. Parking is allowed only on the even-numbered side of the roads. If there are "no parking" signs on the even side, then parking is permitted on the odd-side. If there are "no parking" signs on both sides, then parking is prohibited on that street.
"This is due to the excessive amount of snow that is impeding the width of many of our town roads, which is making two way travel practically impossible on many roads," Sgt. Darren Tynan said.
