Teen On Bike Hit By Deer That Was Struck By Car In Hackettstown
The bicyclist suffered minor injuries and the driver of the vehicle left the scene before police could arrive, authorities said.
HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — A teen riding a bike was hit by a deer that was struck by a car in Hackettstown, police said.
On Tuesday, around 7:03 p.m., Hackettstown police responded to the 600 block of Willow Grove Street near the wooded area between Hackettstown Medical Center and Hackettstown Senior Housing for a report of a bicyclist who was struck by a deer.
According to investigation, a 13-year-old was riding a bicycle on Willow Grove Street when a deer ran out into the road and was struck by a vehicle traveling southbound. The struck deer then hit the bicyclist, police said.

The bicycle was damaged and the bicyclist suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.
The driver of the vehicle had left the scene prior to officers arriving, police said.
