WARREN COUNTY, NJ — Commuters were met with traffic on Wednesday morning after a tractor-trailer flipped over in a crash on Route 80.

The tractor-trailer, hauling sheet metal and coils, flipped just before 4 a.m. on I-80 West near mile marker 18, according to the Allamuchy Fire Department.

The crash caused “extensive damage” to the right and center lanes on I-80 West, resulting in the closure of both right lanes for several hours, authorities said.

Authorities asked drivers to avoid the area early Wednesday morning.

Authorities did not say if anyone was injured in the crash.
