Tickets, Towing For Cars On Street During Snow: Hackettstown PD

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Ahead of Wednesday night's storm, Hackettstown police have declared a snow emergency starting at noon on Wednesday. All residents are asked to take their cars off the roads by then.

No parking will be allowed on any Hackettstown roads, except the municipal lots, from noon on Wednesday until the emergency is lifted. Anyone who leaves their car on the road could receive a ticket or see their car towed.

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 34. Northwest wind around 9 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 20. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Wednesday: Snow, mainly after 1pm. High near 30. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 2 to 4 inches possible.

Wednesday Night: Snow and sleet before 1am, then freezing rain likely between 1am and 4am, then rain likely after 4am. Low around 28. Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday: Rain likely, mainly before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. Light west wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29.
