Tickets, Towing For Cars On Street During Snow: Hackettstown PD

You'll be issued a ticket and your car might be towed if it's left on the street during the snow emergency, police said.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Ahead of Wednesday night's storm, Hackettstown police have declared a snow emergency starting at noon on Wednesday. All residents are asked to take their cars off the roads by then.

No parking will be allowed on any Hackettstown roads, except the municipal lots, from noon on Wednesday until the emergency is lifted. Anyone who leaves their car on the road could receive a ticket or see their car towed.

Southeast wind 5 to 8 mph becoming light and variable after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible. New snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Thursday: Rain likely, mainly before 7am. Partly sunny, with a high near 53. Light west wind increasing to 8 to 13 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
