Washington Twp. Teen Accused of Stealing Bike Handlebars
A 17-year-old was charged with stealing a $165 set of handlebars that were in a parked vehicle on Valentine Street, police said.

A Washington Township teen has been accused of stealing bicycle equipment from a vehicle parked outside a Valentine Street home, Hackettstown Police said.
The homeowner called police last Thursday at about 9:30 p.m. to report he saw a young man go into his vehicle, take a set of BMX handlebars and drive off with his property in another vehicle, Sgt. Darren Tynan said.
Police later found the man at the Raceway Gas Station, where they found the handlebars—valued at $165—inside his vehicle, Tynan said.
The 17-year-old Warren County resident, whose name was withheld due to his age, was charged with the theft of moveable property and was released pending a court appearance, police said.
