A water main replacement will close a portion of Sharp Street starting Wednesday. Sharp Street will be closed between Franklin and Cook streets from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to allow the Hackettstown Municipal Utilities Authority to install a new water main, Hackettstown police said. Residents who live along the affected stretch of Sharp Street will be allowed access to their driveways during construction. Work will only take place on weekdays. Police advise that water service in the area could be interrupted. For more information, contact the police at 908-852-3302.
