Read more how to help with the effort to clean up the Musconetcong River area, one Saturday a month.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Scout troops, school groups, companies, clubs and individuals who like giving a helping hand, are encouraged to join in on a once-monthly community clean up of the Musconetcong River watershed area.

Hosted by Peace NJ, the clean ups are planned for the first Saturday of each month, beginning on Aug. 7, then on Sept. 4, Oct. 2, Nov. 6 and Dec. 4, all starting at 9 a.m at Alumni Field.

Peace NJ will provide gloves, garbage and recycling bags and pickup sticks (if available). It’s recommended attendees wear clothes they don’t mind getting dirty, a hat and sunblock when they’re helping.
