Car Plows Into Kress Liquor Store on Haddonfield-Berlin Road

The accident happened shortly before 11 a.m. on the border of Haddonfield and Cherry Hill.

An SUV plowed through the front window of Kress Wine store on Haddonfield-Berlin Road just outside of Haddonfield shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The yeasty smell of beer and wine hung as heavy in the air as the humidity on this swampy morning as store employees picked through glass shards to mop up the wreckage inside. The left front window was completely demolished in the crash, which took out the front window diplay of liquor and beer.

There were no immediate reports of injuries. The store was open at the time; an employee declined to comment.
