A piece of steel from the World Trade Center will be part of a 9/11 memorial in Haddonfield.

Haddonfield's Haddon Fire Co. No.1 will hold a 9/11 monument dedication at 6:45 p.m. Thursday in front of the firehouse at 15 N. Haddon Ave., near the intersection of Kings Highway.
A piece of steel from the World Trade Center's twin towers, which were destroyed in a terrorist attack that killed nearly 3,000 people, is mounted on display at the memorial.
Battalion Commander Martin Ford of the FDNY, Brooklyn, a 9/11 first responder, will be an honored guest at the ceremony, which will also include local officials.
A Fire Prevention Night promotion will follow. The public is welcome.
