Haddonfield Adult School To Make Presentation At 65 Club

Mary Nosek will provide a timely presentation by the Haddonfield Adult School at the Haddonfield 65 Club's meeting Sept. 23.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Mary Nosek will provide a timely presentation by the Haddonfield Adult School: "Something for Everyone" during a meeting of the Haddonfield 65 Club on Sept. 23, 1:30 p.m., the club announced.

“The Thursday, July 20, 1939, edition of the Haddon Gazette reported that ‘One of the most popular subjects in the Leisure time School was Public Speaking for Men.’ Eighty years later, the ‘Leisure Time School’ and ‘Public speaking for Men’ have been consigned to history,” the club said in its announcement. “But, the Haddonfield Adult School is alive and well and is currently enrolling students in more than 20 courses starting on Thursday, September 30.”

At the club’s meeting, which takes place at 110 Rhoads Avenue in Haddonfield, Nosek will review the history of the Adult School and its predecessors, and describe some offerings for the Fall 2021 semester.

She will also hand out a six-page brochure describing the 22 courses. This brochure was also included in the Sept. 3 to 24, 2021, edition of “Haddonfield Today.”

Haddonfield Mayor Colleen Bianco Bezich was originally scheduled to speak to the club on Sept. 23, but the club said she “graciously rescheduled” her appearance to the Oct. 28 meeting.
