Incumbents Lead, Tight Race For 3rd In Haddonfield Commissioner Election

Only a handful of votes separated the candidates for the third and final spot on the Board of Commissioners as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Both incumbent candidates held leads in the preliminary tally of Haddonfield's Board of Commissioners election Tuesday night, while only a few votes separate the candidates for the third spot.

Borough Commissioners Dave Siedell (2,086 votes) and Frank Troy (2,048) led the four-candidate field as of 10 p.m. Tuesday.

Itir Cole (1,852) holds a slight advantage against William C. Shanahan (1,847) for the third as of that time.

The three-member board will have at least one new face, since since outgoing Mayor Colleen Bianco Bezich is running as a Democrat for the Camden County Board of Commissioners.

Cole was a senior technology expert at the White House, and Shanahan has served on the Haddonfield Zoning Board.

Provisional ballots have not yet been counted, and all results are unofficial until certified on a later date.
