HADDON TOWNSHIP, NJ — While the presidential race is expected to drive high turnout at the polls, voters in Haddonfield and Haddon Township will also have a host of decisions to make from the local level to the U.S. Senate.

The Camden County Clerk's Office has released sample ballots for both locales, which can be found here.

Here are the races and candidates on the ballots for both Haddonfield and Haddon Township:

  • President: Republican Donald Trump, Democrat Kamala Harris and seven third-party or independent candidates: Joseph Kishore (Socialist Equality), Jill Stein (Green Party), Rachele Fruit (Socialist Workers Party), Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. (independent), Randall A. Terry (U.S. Constitution Party), Claudia De la Cruz (Socialism and Liberation) and Chase Oliver (Libertarian Party).
  • U.S. Senator of New Jersey: Andy Kim (Democrat), Curtis Bashaw (Republican), Kenneth R. Kaplan (Libertarian), Joanne Kuniansky (Socialist Workers Party), Christina Khalil (Green Party) and Patricia G. Mooneyham (independent).
  • U.S. House of Representatives (New Jersey's 1st Congressional District): Theodore "Teddy" Liddell (Republican), Donald Norcross (Democrat), Austin Johnson (independent) and Robin Brownfield (Green Party).
  • Camden County sheriff: Sean Williams (Republican) and Chuck Billingham (Democrat).
  • Camden County clerk: Jennifer Exler (Republican) and Pamela Lampitt (Democrat).
  • Camden County Board of Commissioners (vote for three): Republicans Danielle Barry, Norman C. Rebel, Jr. and Donald J. Smith face Democratic candidates Jeffrey L. Nash, Melinda Kane and Al Dyer.

Haddon Township's Local Election

Three seats on the Haddon Township Board of Education are up for grabs. Here are their candidates, along with the campaign slogans that will appear by their names on the ballot (if they submitted one).

  • Haddon Township Board of Education (vote for three): John Lavell, David Ricci, Mark Henley ("Back To Basics"), James Lex ("Experience Matters") and Joshua Kennedy.

Haddonfield's Local Elections

Haddonfield has elections for both the Board of Education and the borough's Board of Commissioners. Both races are non-partisan, so Patch is listing candidates with their slogans, which will appear by their respective names on the ballots.

  • Haddonfield School District Board of Education (vote for three): Matt Ritter ("Supporting Our Students), Meg Hollingworth ("Listen. Learn. Lead.") and Stephanie K. Benecchi ("Service Stewardship Success").
  • Haddonfield Borough Commissioner (vote for one): William C. Shanahan ("Running for the Right Reasons") and David C. Siedell ("Focused on Haddonfield").

CAN I STILL REGISTER TO VOTE?

3 WAYS TO VOTE

There are three ways to vote in the 2024 general election in New Jersey: casting your ballot on Election Day, voting by mail, and in-person, early voting. Here's what local residents should know, according to the Camden County Clerk's Office.

Vote By Mail: If you are registered and want to apply for a mail-in ballot, that deadline is Oct. 29. You must return the application to your county clerk's office. Ballots postmarked on or before Election Day will be counted if they're received by Nov. 11. Learn more about the vote-by-mail process in Camden County here.

Early Voting: Early, in-person voting for the 2024 general election will be available from Oct. 26 through Nov. 3 (10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday). Registered voters in Camden County can vote early at any of the county's seven early-voting locations.

Election Day: Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, which takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 5. Find your local polling place here.
