Haddonfield Police: Flag Bandit Strikes Again

Police also reported three burglaries, two thefts and vandalism.

A flag bandit has struck again.

A 3-by-5-foot American flag was reported stolen from a home in the 300 block of Kings Highway West on Nov. 17. More than a dozen similar thefts have been reported over the last month in Haddonfield.

A wooden sign was reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Glenwood Road on Nov. 11. The brown and white, front yard sign, shaped like a cow, said "Haddon Farms, Est. 1852."

A resident returned to a Longwood Circle home on Tuesday, Nov. 20 to find it had been burglarized. The owner found a broken rear door window pane and items missing including medication, a sterling silver teapot and sterling silver bowl.

A man in the 600 block of Farragut Ave. awoke from an afternoon nap to find a burglar in his bedroom. The thief escaped with his wife's jewelry box. For a detailed report, click here.

A resident returned to a home in the 100 block of Landsdown Ave. to discover a forced-entry burglary. The bedroom was ransacked and jewelry and an Hewlett Packard netbook computer were reported stolen.

Several borough street signs were reported missing and found. Signs for Warwick Road and Moore Lane were found in the street at 9:58 p.m. Street signs from Warwick Road and W. Summit Road were found in a yard in the 100 block of Chews Landing Rd.

Dozens of similar street-sign thefts have been reported during the past year in Haddonfield.
