Police Activity In Haddonfield To Be Released In Weekly Reports

The Haddonfield Police Department just released the first report summarizing recent incidents and law-enforcement activity.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield Police Department plans to release weekly reports of law-enforcement activity in the borough. The first report came out Tuesday.

The first report provides the number of incidents police responded to last week, including overall calls for service, car accidents and thefts.

"To maintain the integrity of any criminal investigation, we will withhold some information while providing a broad synopsis," the HPD said in a statement. "When appropriate, additional information will be released. We hope this transparency and direct communication with the public will help everyone be better informed."

Here's the first Law Enforcement Summary Report, which reflects the week of July 6-13:

  • Calls for service: 357
  • Attempted burglaries: one, in the Gill Tract of an unoccupied home (no entry gained).
  • Thefts: five (shoplifting, bicycle and other).
  • Motor-vehicle thefts: one, in the Lizzy Haddon area, which was later recovered in Camden. The investigation is ongoing.
  • Motor-vehicle accidents: 10 (no injuries reported).
  • Motor-vehicle stops: 40.
  • Domestic violence incidents: two (one resulting in an arrest).
  • Property checks: 85.
  • Arrest warrants served: two.
  • Medical assists: 22.
