Haddonfield School Board Looks To Fill 2 Vacant Seats

The Haddonfield school board is looking to fill a pair of vacant seats, including one that expires this year and one that expires in 2022.

HADDONFIELD, NJ — The Haddonfield Board of Education is looking to fill a pair of vacant seats on the board, the school district announced Tuesday morning.

The term for one seat expires at the end of this year, while the other expires on Dec. 31, 2022. Interested Haddonfield Borough residents who meet the following requirements should send a letter of interest or email the letter of interest to the following:

The letter or email of interest must be received by 3 p.m. on Sept. 16.

To become a member of a local board of education in New Jersey, you must:

  • Be able to read and write
  • Hold U.S. citizenship
  • Prove/document one year's residency in the Haddonfield School District
  • Have no interest in any contract with, or claim against, the board
  • Not hold office as mayor or member of the municipal governing body
  • Be registered to vote in Haddonfield and not be disqualified as a voter under N.J.S.A. 19:4-1.

The Board of Education will review all letters and select the people who will fill the vacated seats. Interviews will be conducted at the regularly scheduled board meeting on Thursday, Sept. 23, and the new members will be selected on Sept. 30.
