'Homemade Fireworks-Type Device' Found Behind Tatem Elementary School

No injuries were reported and Tatem is scheduled to open Monday.

Haddonfield police and school officials are investigating the discovery of a "homemade fireworks-type device" in the woods behind Tatem Elementary School on Sunday.

The object, made with a paper-cup casing, was removed by police early Sunday morning, a school district news release said. The school grounds and surroundings were checked and declared safe.

Tatem is scheduled to open for classes Monday.
