HADDONFIELD, NJ — A man accused of viewing child pornography and following Haddon Township children home from school is also facing a stalking charge from several months ago, according to court records.

Paul Adcock, 51, has been under investigation for several suspicious incidents involving school children in Haddon Township and Haddonfield, authorities said.

Investigation into Adcock led to Haddon Township police charging him Monday with second-degree child pornography possession. He will remain jailed in the Camden County Correctional Facility, pending the results of a detention hearing scheduled for Thursday.

Adcock, of Franklinville, was charged with fourth-degree stalking on both Dec. 20 and Jan. 17, according to online court records. The charges have since been merged as the case plays out in court.

Haddonfield police detectives charged Adcock in January for multiple incidents, according to a department statement. He was released from custody in February.

"Those incidents did not involve any of the schools and were not related to his current charges," the statement says.

The statement didn't specify the charges or what led to them. A Haddonfield police spokesperson was unavailable for comment on Wednesday.

Two weeks ago, police began investigating Adcock again after several suspicious incidents involving school children were reported in Haddon Township and Haddonfield.

Several people reported a suspicious driver, later identified as Adcock, following 10-year-old girls as they walked home from school in Haddon Township on June 11 and 12, police said.

Adcock was also involved in a suspicious incident June 11 in Haddonfield, which involved him driving in the area surrounding Elizabeth Haddon Elementary School during dismissal time, according to law enforcement. Additional information on that incident has not been released.

Police in Haddon Township and Haddonfield continue to investigate both incidents with help from the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. No charges directly related to the incidents have been announced as of Wednesday morning.
