New Haddonfield Fertilizer Restrictions
Haddonfield limits when fertilizers can be used.
"The enacted an ordinance to regulate the application of outdoor lawn and plant fertilizers so as to reduce the overall amount of excess nutrients entering the boroughs waterways, thereby helping to protect and improve surface water quality," according to the borough website.
"These measures are required by the state as part of the Borough’s storm water management program. The proposed ordinance restricts the use of outdoor fertilizers from November 15 through March 1 by residents and from December 1 through March 1 by professionals.
