'New School' Seafood Store Opening In Haddonfield

HADDONFIELD, NJ — Downtown Haddonfield is reeling in a new place for seafood.
Fishtown Seafood, which got started in Philadelphia, brands itself as a "New School Fish Shop. Each store touts responsibly sourced, chemical-free seafood and eco-friendly practices, which include encouraging customers to return oyster shells that help rebuild the Delaware Estuary.
The products are "super frozen" — a rapid-freezing process designed for seafood to retain flavor and freshness.

The business has two locations in Philadelphia, including one in the Fishtown neighborhood.
Haddonfield's store will open from 12-4 p.m. Nov. 23. The first 100 customers will get a half-dozen free oysters.
