Out with the Old and In with the New in Haddonfield Business District
As three long-time businesses close, more than a dozen move in.

More than a dozen new shops have opened or are preparing to open in the Haddonfield business district this summer.
The influx of new could help ease the impact of three long-time merchants going out of business. The three, , and , had operated for a combined 164 years in Haddonfield.
Some of the businesses taking their place include Saxbys Coffee, an upscale coffee house moving into Yampell's old location at 104 Kings Highway East. , a specialty home furnishing store, will expand into Houshiarnejad's space. , will takeover the other side of a location it shared with the rug store at 117 and 119 Kings Highway East.

Other new shops include:
- Amixx clothing boutique, 8 Kings Court
- Azules hair shop, 134 N. Haddon Ave.
- Custo Cookies, 14 Tanner St.
- Dream Puffz Cream Puffs, 605 Haddon Ave.
- Flair, 4 Mechanic St.
- Lavender Cottage, 31 Kings Highway East
- Mir Ano's Barber Shop, at 228 Kings Highway East, features a quartet who formerly worked at .
- Silver Image photo moves from 120 N. Haddon Ave. to 8 Kings Court
- clothing boutique moves from Mechnic Street to 129 Kings Highway East and changes its name to Six on East
- Michael Smith interior design sets up shop at 16 Tanner St.
- A photo shop will open at 25 Tanner St.
The new and upgraded shops and reduced vacancy in the business district has Remi Fortunato, the retail recruter for the Partnership for Haddonfield, smiling.

“We are very pleased to welcome these new businesses to our downtown,” Fortunato said last week. “Each shop adds something new and unique to Haddonfield, furthering our reputation as a premier Delaware Valley shopping destination.”
The PfH is the tax-funded borough business improvement district.
