Pedestrian Killed In Hit-And-Run, Camden County Officials Say

Authorities have not announced any arrests yet, as they continue investigating the fatal collision.

WOODLYNNE, NJ — A pedestrian died Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Woodlynne, officials said.

The collision happened just after 7 p.m. on Friday in the 2200 block of Mt. Ephraim Avenue, officials said. Camden County Police Department officers and Cooper EMS arrived on scene and began giving medical aid to the victim.

The crash took place in the southbound lanes, between Woodlynne Avenue and Fairview Street. Officials said the suspect vehicle was not on scene when they arrived.

First responders then took the pedestrian to Cooper Medical Center, where they were pronounced deceased at 7:14 p.m.

No arrests have been announced yet, as the investigation is ongoing. Officials have also not identified the victim yet, pending notification of their next-of-kin.
