Pets Rescued From Heavy Fire That Scorched Camden Co. House

Heavy flames burned on the first two floors of a two-family home.

AUDUBON, NJ — First responders rescued two pets during a heavy fire that scorched a house Saturday in Audubon.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. on the 200 block of Walnut Street, where heavy fire engulfed the first and second floors of a two-family home.

Firefighters rescued a dog and cat that were still inside the home, according to the Audubon Fire Department.

About a dozen other fire departments from surrounding communities helped extinguish the blaze.

Officials reported no injuries.
