HADDONFIELD, NJ — Haddonfield will kick off the holiday season with Small Business Weekend Nov. 26-28, the Partnership for Haddonfield (PfH) announced.

“Now more than ever, it’s important to choose to support small because when you do, money circulates back into the local economy, thus helping the community grow,” PfH said in a statement. “Studies suggest that ‘shopping small’ has an undeniable trickle-down effect. For every $100 spent at a locally owned business, nearly $70 stays in the community and contributes to local economic growth. ‘Shopping small’ also allows customers to get to know the people behind the product or service, which results in unbeatable customer service and personalization.”

Merchants along Kings Highway and Haddonfield’s side streets – including Mechanic, Ellis and Tanner Streets, Haddy Lane, Kings Court, and Haddon Avenue – offer gifts for friends and family, with extra shopping incentives, trunk shows, and other promotions. Free parking will also be available starting from Thanksgiving to Christmas Day.

Candlelight Shopping also begins on Nov. 26, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Transformed into a winter wonderland, Downtown Haddonfield will be brimming with sparkling white lights and garland wreaths. Every Friday evening leading up to Christmas Day, the streets of Downtown Haddonfield will be lined with luminaria for Candlelight Shopping, providing holiday warmth and a festive atmosphere.

PfH, the management corporation for Haddonfield’s business improvement district, thanked all who have shown support to the businesses by shopping in-store and online, buying gift certificates, taking part in virtual experience classes, or choosing outdoor dining and/or take-out or delivery from Haddonfield’s food and beverage establishments.
