South Jersey Aquarium Named 1 Of Nation's Best

CAMDEN, NJ — Adventure Aquarium in Camden always stands out as a top destination for viewing aquatic life in New Jersey and Greater Philadelphia. But it's also one of the best aquariums in the nation, according to a recent report.
PureWow ranked the 22 "best" aquariums in the United States last April. The women's-lifestyle media outlet ranked Adventure Aquarium at No. 20.
Highlights of the Camden aquarium include Pirates Passage — a path through 15 exhibits to find Captain Darkbeard's sunken treasure — along with the 40-foot shark tunnel and sensory-friendly hours.

"The Adventure Aquarium offers up plenty of attractions for kids and adults alike," PureWow says.
Adventure Aquarium includes more than 15,000 aquatic animals, including the largest shark collection in the Northeast. The aquarium is currently in the midst of "Shark Summer" — a series of shark-centered events that run through Aug. 20.
