South Jersey Trucker Killed In I-95 Crash Was A Veteran, 'Devoted Family Man'
Nathaniel 'Nate' Moody was an experienced driver with a clean record on the road, leaving his family seeking answers for the deadly crash.

PHILADELPHIA — The South Jersey man who died in Sunday's Interstate 95 crash in Philadelphia was a veteran and a dedicated father of three, according to those who knew Nathaniel "Nate" Moody.
A GoFundMe page launched Wednesday to support Moody's family. Officials publicly identified Moody earlier that day as the decedent in the fatal collision that caused part of I-95 to collapse.
Moody, 53, was a "hardworking devoted family man who leaves behind many people who loved him," says the GoFundMe, "including a 7-year-old daughter who adored playing with her dad after school."

The page has raised more than $10,000 toward the $30,000 goal as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
Moody's cousin, Isaac Moody, told Action News and Fox 29 he was transporting 8,500 gallons of gasoline for TK Transport, a Pennsauken-based company in a tanker truck when it crashed on the Route 73/Cottman Avenue ramp off I-95 at around 6:20 a.m. Sunday.
The fire compromised the integrity of steel I-beams under the northbound and southbound lanes of the highway.
Moody died from blunt trauma to the head, inhalation and thermal injuries, according to the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office. The manner of death was accidental.
He was an experienced truck driver with top certifications in his field, Isaac told CBS 21. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
"I would say this for any legitimate truck driver, especially with a clean driving record, a flawless driving record," Isaac Moody told CBS 21. "Something caused the truck to lose control. What caused the truck to lose control is my question because I can't see him with everything he had to live for to lose it."
