Teen Fatally Shot, Found Behind Home In Camden: Authorities
The victim succumbed to his injuries 15 days after the shooting, officials said.
CAMDEN, NJ — A homicide is under investigation after a teen was shot in Camden last month and succumbed to his injuries on Friday, authorities said.
Zaheer Whye, 18, of Camden, was shot on March 20, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office. The investigation remains active, with no arrests announced as of Thursday afternoon.
Police responded to gunfire at about 6:30 p.m. March 20 around South 7th Street and Ware Street. Officers found the gunshot victim — later identified as Whye — behind a house on the 700 block of Ware Street, authorities said.

Whye was brought to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead 15 days later.
