Tish Colombi Gets Honorary HMHS Degree

It's never too late to get a high school diploma, especially if your granddaughter presents it to you.

She didn't walk with graduates Thursday into the Haddonfield Memorial High School football stadium. But former borough mayor Tish Colombi was on the stage for the commencement ceremony this week and she did receive a diploma.

Colombi, 67, was awarded an honorary diploma at the class of 2013 luncheon Tuesday. It was presented by her granddaughter Alexandra Pollack.

Colombi returned the favor Thursday by handing Alexandra her diploma during the commencement ceremony. Colombi, a native Texan, has lived in Haddonfield for more than 40 years and served on the borough Board of Commissioners for 28 years, including 12 as mayor. She stepped down from office last month.
