Town Hall Canceled Due To 'Heightened Security Concerns' In Camden Co.
The town hall event was set to feature U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross and several local politicians.
HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ — A town hall meeting in Haddon Heights featuring U.S. Rep. Donald Norcross and several local politicians is canceled because of "heightened security concerns," officials said Friday.
The Camden County Town Hall was scheduled for Friday evening at Haddon Heights Jr./Sr. High School. It will be rescheduled to a later date.
"Out of an abundance of caution and the current climate, we are rescheduling," county spokesperson Dan Keashan told Patch.

Several politicians and public figures around the nation have canceled public appearances in the wake of conservative activist Charlie Kirk's assassination.
The Camden County Town Hall was set to feature Norcross (D-NJ), Haddon Heights Mayor Zachary Houck, and County Commissioners Jennifer Fleisher and Jeffrey Nash.

"We are rescheduling our town hall meeting with all levels of government in Haddon Heights with a new date to be announced soon," the county's announcement said.
Norcross represents New Jersey's 1st congressional district in the House of Representatives. The district encompasses all of Camden County and portions of Burlington and Gloucester counties.
