Young Haddon Heights Grad, 18, Dies Unexpectedly
Adam James Furlong was going to pole vault at his university, where he received a scholarship in the music program.
HADDON HEIGHTS, NJ — Adam James Furlong, a recent graduate of Haddon Heights High School, died unexpectedly last Thursday. He was 18.
Born and raised in Haddon Heights, Adam graduated from HHHS this year. He received a scholarship from the University of New Haven for the Music and Sound Recording program, according to his obituary.
Adam participated in many sports growing up, including soccer, baseball, gymnastics, diving, wrestling and track. He was a sprinter, jumper and pole vaulter at HHHS and planned to pole vault at New Haven.

He had a wide range of passions, according to his obituary.
"Adam had a love for biking and skateboarding and a passion for playing guitar and recording music," the obituary says. "He also had a tremendous love for animals, especially his dogs, bird, snake, and his girlfriend's cats. Most of all, he loved spending time with his friends and his entire family."
