Leonia Woman With Stuck Foot Rescued From GWB
Port Authority officials are investigating how a Leonia woman ended up injured in an area of the George Washington Bridge off-limits to pedestrians.
Christine McQuaid, 26, was found with her foot stuck in a grate on the bridge’s westbound lower level, said Port Authority spokesman Steve Coleman. Officials were called after motorists reported seeing McQuaid waving a piece of clothing to signal for help.
