Heights Schools Share Winter Wonderland with Sandy Hook Students

The hand-made snowflakes which decorate windows and doors at Euclid and Lincoln schools do more than create a seasonal setting.

It's also a symbol of support for the Sandy Hook School community.

Both school PTAs teamed up to take part in the"Snowflakes for Sandy Hook" project, a request from the Connecticut Parent Teacher's Association asking schools around the country to send snowflakes to to help decorate their new school, according to the CPTA website.

Due to an overwhelming response, the CPTA is no longer receiving snowflakes so instead Euclid and Lincoln PTAs decided to decorate their own schools and send photos to the Sandy Hook students, as a way a gesture of support, said Euclid PTA president Terri Metz.
